"Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil" is the new serial on Star Plus by Ekta Kapoor. This serial has replaced the never lasting love story of Anurag-Prerna (or Bajaj- prerna)- Kasauti Zindagi Ki ( thank God because of the decrease in the TRP of the show finally this love story come to an end).

Kis Desh….has started from 3rd march this year. Like all her serials Ekta has put all masala in it. It is basically a story of two friends- one is in Punjab and the other one has migrated to Canada for the better development of his career. The two friends have fixed the marriage of their children- Prem and Heer since their childhood. But due to some misunderstanding the friend in India- Balraaj Maan thinks that his friend- Lalit Juneja has forgotten his promise and so Balraaj fixes his daughter- Heer’s marriage to someone else.

PREM JUNEJA

Profile :

Harshad Chopra is from a little know Gondia district of Maharashtra. His family moved to Pune after he completed his class 12 exams. His parents never approved of his celluloid dreams so they enrolled him into an engineering college. He unflinchingly admits, “I only did engineering because my parents asked me to do so. However, I was clear in my mind as to what I wanted.” Post his studies, he headed to Bombay, successfully auditioned for Zee’s Mamta and so began the journey of actor Harshad Chopra. He bagged his first prominent role in his second serial Left Right Left where he essayed the character Cadet Ali Baigh. He joined the cast of Amber Dhara after quitting Left Right Left. Unfortunately, his stint with Amber Dhara didn’t last long as he was reportedly bumped off from the show. After remaining out of action for a while, Harshad has bounced back strongly with the Balaji show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Harshad isn’t one who sets ambitious goals but goes about his task very astutely. Says he, “I’m not one to make tall claims but I’d believe I’m very much on the right track to achieve my goals.”

ADITI GUPTA is only 19 and her original hometown is in Pune. She wanted to be a fashion designer but things took a turn and she was chosen to play the main lead of Ekta Kapoor's show Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil. Additi's name wasn't spelled Additi, but Aditi, but due to Ekta's belief in numerology, an extra D was added to her name. Additi claims that she is not like her character Heer, and is more outgoing and loves to flirt with guys.

A lawyer by profession, Heer is a very shy and quite girl. Her family means everything to her, and she loves Prem since childhood. Her wedding was fixed with Prem when they were children and since then, Heer considers Prem her love and her life.

Virendra Saxena is a strong presence in Hindi language films, foreign cinema, theater and television. With over 80 plays and 30 feature films in his credits, Mr. Saxena is a respected actor who has worked alongside Ismail Merchant and Shekhur Kapur and has appeared in Cotton Mary, In Custody and Split Wide Open. A graduate of the National School of Drama in India, Mr. Saxena is also an established writer and director.

Deepak Qazir, who played the role of the patriarch of the Agarwal family in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and also acted in Kasautii Zindagi Kay as Anurag's father, has suddenly disappeared from the telly circuit. Now he is playing the role of Prem's father in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil on StarPlus. H e is a succesfull business man returned from canada and then settelled in india. He fixed Prem's marriage with Heer who is the daughter of his friend Balraj Mann in their childhood but cause of some reasons the marriage has been cancelled.
